The electronic Context back-office, with its client-facing and supplier-facing web applications, provides a seamless online environment, from booking a language service – the translation of a document, an interpreter for a court case, a complete conference package – to invoicing and archiving.

Our comprehensive, user-friendly online system, together with our extensive investments in training and up-skilling of Community Interpreters, has won us many corporate clients, especially in the Irish public sector: the Health Service Executive, public and voluntary hospitals, Courts, Gardaí, insurance companies and solicitors’ offices.

Quality Assurance and Control

Excellence in service delivery is not an accident, but the result of repeatable processes.

Our distinct business lines Translation, Localisation and Interpreting are each based on documented work flows and robust, certified procedures. We received our ISO accreditation from the National Standards Authority of Ireland (NSAI) in 2003. Our auditors compliment us each year on our robust and reliable Quality Management System.

Our seamless upgrade to the improved ISO standard 9001:2008 sharpened our focus on customer satisfaction and continuous improvement. Regular reviews of our metrics and reports in these key areas of our business ensure ongoing process improvements and efficiency gains for our clients.

We secured additional accreditation under the first international translation standard EN15038:2006 and later under the equivalent ISO standard 17100:2015. Both accreditations were instrumental in underpinning our role as industry leaders.

Ulrike Fuehrer, co-director of Context, enjoys expert status in the NSAI mirror committee for the preparation of international quality standards for the language industry.

 

Clients

The Medical Device Industry represents one of the key industries which we provide with translations of user manuals, field trial protocols and reports, labels, and software applications.

On the conference circuit, Context has been a key supplier of conference interpretation for 5 Presidencies of the European Union with 45 conference interpreters of 8 languages accredited for the 2013 Irish EU Presidency.

Our comprehensive European Works Council services include venue finding, simultaneous interpreting, equipment hire and operation, and on-site management anywhere in Europe. We are proud to have pioneered simultaneous telephone interpreting for online meetings of SNBs and Select Commmittees.

Our Localisation business line includes website localisation, training and consultancy for the education, CRM, game industry, for the public sector and for health care.

To consolidate our thought leader position and create a dynamic network of smart, agile and enterprising organisations in the language industry, Context aligned itself with partners who take an ambitious and inspired approach to developing language technology solutions.

In cooperation with our partners Kilgray, we have leveraged the potential of their memoQ translation tools to provide best-in-class translations. Context explores new product features with Kilgray and continues to present on key industry issues during the annual Kilgray memoQ Fest.

Loctimize, who monitor the explosively growing market of language technology products to advise and train corporate entities on best suited end user solutions, have teamed up with Context in the area of training and development.

Foras na Gaeilge embraced the flagship Kilgray tool memoQ as their preferred translation tool for Irish translations in the 21st century.
